Not available in v3: deferLoading()
This version of Laravel Livewire Tables has no component-level deferred/lazy load method.
What it does offer is the Loading Placeholder
(setLoadingPlaceholderEnabled(), setLoadingPlaceholderStatus(),
setLoadingPlaceholderContent(), setLoadingPlaceholderBlade()),
which shows a placeholder during requests but does not defer the initial load.
For true deferral, use Livewire's own lazy loading on the wrapping component —
<livewire:demos.tables.deferred-demo-table lazy /> or the
#[Lazy] attribute — not a package method. The demo below uses the loading placeholder.
public function configure(): void
{
$this->setPrimaryKey('id')
->setLoadingPlaceholderEnabled(); // Show a placeholder during requests
// NOTE: deferLoading() does not exist in this version.
// The placeholder is shown while a request is in flight,
// it does NOT defer the initial load.
// To actually defer the initial load, use Livewire:
// <livewire:demos.tables.deferred-demo-table lazy />
}
